Documenting cases of torture involving Belarusians is the main direction of our work. The Committee receives the information and collects it in a secure encrypted database. Based on this information, since 2020, analysts have been preparing reports and investigations about torture, attitudes towards women, the reaction of Belarusians to the war in Ukraine, etc.
Reports are published on the website, submitted to international bodies and institutes, and sent to international partners and Belarusian democratic forces.
In 2022, a new line of work was launched in the Committee – public investigations. Analysts studied the database and came to the conclusion that we have enough information to identify the perpetrators and build a canvas of events that occurred at a specific time in a specific place.
